Aryton Senna

Aryton Senna was born on 21 March 1960. He was born in Brazil. He died doing his passion he lived best, racing. He won the world championship three times and made is debut in his home, Brazil. He has been in racing since a young age. He was also famous for his heated rivalry against Alain Prost. The two drivers ahd arguments off track and close battles on track. Both drivers were World Champions. Senna had a tendancy to push drivers off the track enabling him to secure a good position in a race. Like Schumacher, Senna pushed another driver, in Senna’s case, Prost, off the track enabling him to win the World Championship. At Imola during the San Marino rand Prix, he entered the Tamburello corner at a very high speed, his car left the rack and he crashed into a concrete wall. It was found that a suspension failure had cost his life.

Lewis Hamilton

Lewis Hamilton was born on 7 January 1985. Few drivers have entered Formula One racing with as big a bang as Lewis Hamilton, whose sensational first season in 2007 – in which he lost out on the world championship by a single point. He remains as having one of the most remarkable rookie campaigns in history. Such form indicated why Mercedes were so happy to sign the Briton for the 2013 season onwards. Hamilton did not disappoint his new team, as he enjoyed a good season to only his second F1 team. Victory in Hungary, plus a further four podiums and five pole positions carried him to fourth in the 2013 drivers’ championship, two places above new team mate Nico Rosberg. In 2014 things got even better for Hamilton who, armed with the hugely dominant Mercedes F1 W05 Hybrid, saw off the challenge of team mate Rosberg and several moments of trouble to win 11 races and clinch his second world drivers’ crown. He carried that momentum into 2015, winning 10 times to become a three-time world champion and the first Briton to secure back-to-back titles.

Fernando Alonso

Fernando Alonso Diaz was born in Oviedo, Spain on 29 July 1981. He won his first Championship at the age of 24, making himself the youngest World Champion. He won two World Championships. One in 2005 and another in 2006. He won both these Championships in Renault then decided to move to McLaren. He moved to McLaren but moved back to Renault in 2008 after tough competition against rookie driver, Lewis Hamilton. Unfortunately Alonso was given a car not p to his expectations. That followed through the next few years. He then decided to move to Ferrari in the hopes of winning 2 or 3 more World Championships. He won on his debut for the Scuderia and quickly established authority over his new team mate. Though the car struggled at  rounds, the team were back on form by July and Alonso took a further four wins as he made up a 47-point  in the standings to go into the final round a strong title contender. But a poor pit-stop strategy in Abu Dhabi took his chances away. He charged up the table and he ultimately finished second by just four points to new world champion Sebastian Vettel. The car got worse and worse by the years and he decided to move back to McLaren. He struggled in 2015 as Honda, McLaren’s new engine supplier, had not completely finished the engine. Alonso was left with a horrible car. In 2016 the car looked better and was better but still could not compete for a 1st place finish. Alonso has been a very unlucky Champion but he will always be known as the man who ended Michael Schumacher’s Formula One reign, and became the then-youngest champion in F1 history.
